Discover God. Discover Scripture. Discover Community. Bible Study is held Thursday nights from 6-7pm in the Parish Office.
Open to anybody and the setting is casual. We are currently doing Lectio Divina with the upcoming Sunday Gospel in order to come to a better understanding of how to hear God's voice and see more clearly how He wants to be involved in the day-to-day happenings of our lives.

Praying with Scripture (Lectio Divina) is one Bishop Ricken's "Five Alive" Practices.

According to Pope Benedict XVI in the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation, Verbum Domini (nos. 86-87), lectio divina is broken down into the following steps:
- Lectio (reading),
- Meditatio (meditation),
- Oratio (prayer),
- and Contemplatio (contemplation).
- Then, as a result of the encounter with God in Scripture, we are also called to Actio (action).
Each of these steps together form a process by which we encounter God in his sacred word and respond to his grace. They form parts of a larger whole, but each one comes with a certain set of skills for our us to master. Learn more about each step.
Each week at Bible Study, we pray with the Gospel for the upcoming Sunday.
