Our parish's current Secretary Trustee, Dave Lelinksi, has reached the end of his 2 year term. Dave was elected in 2023.
It is time to elect our Parish Secretary Trustee for the next two fiscal years. This person should be an active and responsible missionary disciple from our parish who can serve as an advisor and counselor. The Trustee is part of the corporate board, serves on the Finance council, and via the Parish Pastoral Council assists the pastor in implementing the mission, establishing goals that witness to Gospel values, and developing the parish as a community
Nominees will be invited to the parish annual meeting on November 9 for parishioners to meet. The election will occur at masses the weekend of November 15-16.
What is the Secretary Trustee?
The secretary trustee’s particular area of responsibility is that of assisting the pastor/parish director to oversee corporate, non-financial record-keeping at the parish, such as corporate minutes from the Annual Meeting as well as other documents, notices and correspondence. Secretary Trustee helps in the development of parish policies and strategies to address the needs and mission of the parish. The secretary trustee is a member of the parish pastoral council and receives minutes of the finance council.Wisconsin state law requires that the trustee be elected by the members of the congregation. The term of office is two years. There is no legal limit to the number of terms a trustee may serve.
What are the requirements for a secretary trustee?
Be parish members, practicing Catholic and at least 25 years of age.
Have previous experience on Pastoral Council, Finance Council or a Standing Committee.
Be educated about the position or be willing to attend training from the Diocese.
Have familiarity with Pastoral Council, Financial Management and Committees Manuals
Possess traits, qualities and experience to effectively carry out the various duties and responsibilities of position
Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the parish and passion for building a culture of intentional discipleship at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Note: Parish staff and permanent deacons are not eligible to serve as trustees.
What are the responsibilities of the Secretary Trustee?
Serves as a full member of the parish Pastoral Council and receives Finance Council minutes
Assists the Pastor in taking and keeping minutes of all meetings of the corporate board of directors; and is responsible for the corporate book of minutes, i.e., annual meeting
Attends to corporate notices and correspondence
With the Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and Leadership Team, assists the Pastor to ensure that proxy documents are recorded and filed. Ensures that all corporate reports as prescribed by federal, state, local and diocesan authorities are prepared and filed. (Section X, Federal, State and Local i.e.: W-2, 941, Gambling permits)
With the Pastoral Council, Leadership Team and Parish Staff, assists the Pastor in the development of parish policies and strategies to address the needs and mission of the parish.

Ten registered Parishioners over the age of 18 must support and sign the nomination of a candidate. Fill out the nomination form below and get 10 signatures. Then submit your nomination form to the parish office no later than Sunday, October 19, 2025.
