The summer months have given us a chance to slow down, reflect, and recharge but that doesn’t mean your generosity has gone unnoticed during that time. See how your generosity has helped in our community.
The pastors of Oshkosh, along with the Cemetery Administrator, are seeking your help to ensure that the Catholic Cemeteries of Oshkosh: Calvary Cemetery, Riverside Catholic Cemetery, and Sacred Heart Cemetery, stay beautiful and serenely sacred. There will be a second collection next weekend, May 24-25, to support the cemeteries. More information on how you can help can be found on our website at mbsoshkosh.com/stewardship.
The MBS Outreach Mission Teams thanks you for helping us meet our Almsgiving goal of $15,000. We are beyond grateful and look forward to being able to continue serving the poorest and neediest in our parish community. Stay tuned for more information on how these funds are used.
Our Annual Almsgiving Fund allows our parish to continue helping the poorest of the poor
and those in need in our parish and community.
As of March 17, we have collected $4,423.56 towards our goal of $15,000.
During Lent of 2022 our parish participated in an Almsgiving Fundraiser to help the neediest
individuals in our community. Our target amount was $10,000 and, as you know, we met and exceeded that goal, raising almost $18,000. Your generosity has helped in amazing ways! Below is a short summary of how your funds have been used over the past two years.
(Updated Oct 2024) In 2023, our parish Lenten Almsgiving fundraiser exceeded its $10,000 goal in under four weeks. The Outreach Mission Team has partnered with local nonprofits to ensure funds were allocated responsibly, focusing on verified needs. Over the past two years, the parish has assisted individuals with rent, utilities, refugee resettlement, and more. We've also launched new programs, including a pantry for underprivileged children and Helping Hands Care Bags for the homeless. A portion of funds saved a parish family's relatives fleeing persecution. Current balance: $8,184.52.
Consider helping our parish outreach ministry raise money this Lent to help meet the needs of Oshkosh’s poorest - with a special focus on pro-life causes. Learn more about our goals for this challenge.
Stewardship is a personal responsibility for all parishioners to engage in a lifestyle of prayer, service and sharing. Learn more about opportunities for prayer, service and sharing at MBS.
Parishioner and Lourdes Academy Foundation Board President Mary Buttke shared why supporting the one by One Capital Campaign is important and the difference Catholic education has made for her family at Masses on July 10 & 11.
While most of the $10 million goal for the one by One Capital Campaign is going to the Lourdes building project, each parish is also receiving $100,000.
There is a serious obligation for a pastor to report each year on how the offerings or tithings of parishioners and other donors have been used. Transparency in financial administration and accountability to donors are important values in the administration of Church goods. Our Annual Meeting reports each Fall provide a clear and transparent account to all those who donate to MBS.
